Dearest Marta

You are probably a little worried about a letter in an envelope from me. No, it is not one of those kinds of letters.

Not much to say except --- I love you very much and miss you. You are wonderful and I hope everything goes perfectly on 9/26 in Redding. I do not like leaving you and wish you were here --- that is the same as saying “I miss you”.

Because I will be missing you I will be tempted to come out early but I am going to resist that temptation. I will come out October 3 or 4. I will be thinking of you and hope to have some good ideas to share.

Birthday - maybe a pair of black jeans and/or do something we both enjoy.
