Hi Joan....
Lovely morning

I am searching EB for ideas on "action" and have IE 5/AOL on in the background.

This is part of Exploration. There are four main areas:

1 EXPLORATIONS AND TRANSFORMATIONS OF BEING
2 KNOWLEDGE, LEARNING AND DISCOVERY
3 ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION PROCESSING ELEMENTS AND SYSTEMS
4 EXPLORATIONS IN SOCIAL AND GROUP ELEMENTS AND ACTION

This corresponds to the outline for Being and Its Elements which, as you know, is "my work" and at the same time
the main program. I'm currently in the EB links/WEB links phase...and so will be online quite a bit for a while.

There is a lot of "junk" relative to my interests on the web...but there is also excellent information...and much
of it readily accessible...for example, David Chalmers' pages are a great resource on the literature on the
philosophy, science etc. of mind and consciousness;

Contemporary Philosophy of Mind An Annotated Bibliography
 Online papers on consciousness

are two examples with which you are familiar. So the problem is twofold: (1) understand the use of the Web
as a resource - this is more than knowing the mechanics but requires intuitive navigation in a large,
compartmentalize yet integrate, multidimensional space; (2) actually use the resource which reinforces
and is reinforced by (1)...and use it in the service of the "project"...and is at the same time part of
the project [3 ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION PROCESSING ELEMENTS AND SYSTEMS]...etc etc

...and I may, since I keep ungodly hours on my weekends, be online also at similarly ungodly hours.
