Dear Joan,
Do plan on
visiting, with Janice, on Saturday morning. Call first - there is a small
chance that I will go to a friend's party at Willow Creek, Friday evening and
if I do that I might spend the night and not be back the following morning.
But, most likely, I will be here Saturday morning.
I am thinking about your comments on life, death. You
did not say whether you are absolutely convinced that you are absolutely
convinced. I think you said you are only absolutely convinced when faced with
Sarah's absolute convictions.
Here is a thought. If one truly does not know, why not
live as though one does not know? But, if one does not know that one does not
know - how should one then live?
Your personal
statement, regardless of final validity of the factual content, is very
beautiful. I might add that it is courageous, but one gets to a stage of
understanding regarding ultimate realities where courage is no longer necessary
- there is nothing of which to be afraid.
Love,
Anil
