The Pasteboard

Adobe PageMill includes a storage area called the Pasteboard. The Adobe PageMill Pasteboard can store linked elements as well as unlinked elements; this lets you reuse a linked element throughout a Web site without having to re-link the item each time, or keep an entire page open simply to copy its elements. The Adobe PageMill Pasteboard can store multiple elements on each of the five pages in the Pasteboard.

The Pasteboard remains active when you are in other applications, allowing you to drag object and files into it even when PageMill is not your active application.

To place an item in the Pasteboard:

• Choose View > Show Pasteboard
• Drag the element you wish to store from the active PageMill Window over the Pasteboard.

To reuse or remove an item in the Pasteboard:

• Choose View > Show Pasteboard
• Drag the element you wish to store from the Pasteboard on to the active PageMill Window. This will move the item from the Pasteboard on to your page.
• If you want an element to remain in the Pasteboard, while copying to your PageMill page, hold the Control key while dragging the item from the Pasteboard.
