The way of being is shared realization of the ultimate in, for, and from immediate worlds. Its motive is quality of being; the means are reason and action. The reasoning is spelled out—there are positive conclusions but no dogma. Conclusions include (i) the universe, which has identity, and all beings are (shown to be) limitless—which is shown consistent with experience and limits commonly regarded as absolute (e.g., birth and death) are real but not absolute (ii) the universe phases eternally among nonmanifest, manifest, and ultimate states (iii) in the ultimate, all beings merge as peak being. Doubt should be sustained—and rational and existential responses to doubt are given. Readers should and are expected to sustain doubt and rational and existential responses to doubt are given. Meaningful ways to the ultimate require intelligent and shared action. From limitlessness, the way is an ever-fresh adventure. Sources—our cultures, experience, action, and reflection; the way of being overlaps philosophy and what is meaningful in religion. Why ‘being’? (I) Being is about what there is and so makes no assumption on the nature of the world, which may seem to mark being as trivial but (II) being is a powerful conceptual container for the nature and destiny of the world and human beings. Resources for realization—basic: introduction to the way, detailed version (in-process), path templates, received pathways; supplements:—metaphysics with vocabulary, system of knowledge, sources, resources (older), reading, bibliography, daily reading and reference. Primarily for site development—a program for the way of being, site design, personal priorities, more resources. |
