PageMill 2.0 supports direct insertion and viewing of many Netscape plug-ins.
Because the quality of plug-ins that have been written varies widely, we
can't guarantee support for every Netscape plug-in. The final version will
work with the QuickTime movie player and Adobe Acrobat PDFviewer plug-ins.
For PageMill to properly place and preview a plug-in element, the Netscape(R) plug-in must be installed in the PageMill "Browser Plug-Ins" folder. Once you have installed the plug-in, you must restart PageMill for the plug-in to become active.
To place a plug-in element (QuickTime(R) movie, PDF file, ShockWave animation, and so on) onto a page, simply drag it from the desktop onto your page, or place it via the "Place" command under the "File" menu. Many plug-in elements are resizeable, through either handles, or through the Inspector.
To preview a plug-in element, simply switch to Preview mode. Supported plug-in driven movies, animations, and so on should now play, just as they would in your Web browser.
For more information on plug-ins please refer to the document, Placing Files.
*Note:
The Netscape plug-ins that are required for using QuickTime, QuickTimeVR,
and Acrobat plug-ins are not included in this archive; see the web site
for details.
To incorporate PDF plug-ins, you must install the latest Acrobat 3.0 release. After installing, put a copy of the PDFViewer plug-in, "nppdf32.dll" (for Netscape) in the "Browser Plug-ins" folder. It is very important that you use the correct version of the PDFViewer plug-in that matches the version of Acrobat Exchange (or Reader) you install.
PageMill 2.0 installs and looks for various components inside the folder called "plug-ins." If you move or rename either it, or any of the folders and files within, PageMill may not function correctly.
